In the past decade, Latin America experienced major changes in its migration patterns. Historically, most international migration in the region has been motivated by the search of employment, and occurs between adjacent countries, or from countries within the region to high-income countries such as the United States and Spain. Ietza Bojorquez and Baltica Cabieses discuss the main issues related to Migration and Health in Latin America and the Caribbean, touching on aspects including the response of health systems to migrants’ needs, and the effects of climate change on migration and health.Read our Editorial:https://www.thelancet.com/journals/lanam/article/PIIS2667-193X(24)00294-1/fulltext?dgcid=buzzsprout_icw_podcast_generic_lanamContinue this conversation on social!Follow us today at...https://thelancet.bsky.social/https://instagram.com/thelancetgrouphttps://facebook.com/thelancetmedicaljournalhttps://linkedIn.com/company/the-lancethttps://youtube.com/thelancettv
